February Regular Meeting Agenda Item #31 Item Title Construction contract award for Re-Roof Buildings 2 and 7 at Middleburg Elementary School Issue/Rationale Bid opening was held Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. The project had three (3) bidders and was advertised three (3) times. Standard advertisement was conducted and direct mailouts were sent to perspective bidders. Although only three (3) bidders, the low bid is considered responsive and appropriate for the project. One bidder was considered non-responsive and was disqualified due to not acknowledging all addendums and providing a price on Alternate #2. Recommended Action Award the contract to the low bidder meeting bid requirements as submitted to BBG Contracting Group, Inc. for a total bid award of $89,182.00 Financial Impact Funding for this project has been budgeted for fiscal year 2005-06 of the Capital Project Plan.
